The air conditioning worked very well and the place was clean. Breakfast was quite good. As we needed to leave early the next day it's location close to the bus station was also a great bonus.
On arrival we asked where the swimming pool was and the receptionist replied that there wasn't one, but there was a roof garden and the sea wasn't too far away. We were confused as we had booked it for the night precisely because (from what we remember reading on this site at the time) it had been advertised as having a pool and actually we found there was a big disused one on the roof garden. Although spotlessly clean the hotel seemed a little down at heel. The paint was peeling off our bathroom ceiling, there were marks on the walls, and the furniture was very tacky. Given all this I thought €75 a night for 2 adults and a small child a little steep.

We had a pleasant stay in interesting town with good eateries.
Excellent breakfast, the food was tasty. The location was perfect and magnificent close to everything and easy for visiting a main street and a fortress close to the hotel.

During our stay, we were delighted to find that the hotel had taken into consideration our specific requests for a room with a queen bed and a higher level with a sea view. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, and we were grateful to have access to the air conditioning for heating as it was a bit chilly in Kavala during April. The new furniture in the room added a modern touch, and the bed provided a comfortable night's sleep. We also appreciated the complimentary parking offered by the hotel. The staff was very kind and attentive to our needs.

the staff were very helpful especially in the way they wished to assist me during the strikes in Greece. They research ferry timetables for me.
I left a message on the booking system about my late arrival and was greated by my name when I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night.
